When people think about hemp oil and CBD they wonder if they are the same thing. The only thing they are similar in is genetics, they are from the same plant, just different parts. Aside from that, they are totally different. I will describe the differences and their uses.
Hemp seed oil is derived from the seeds only. Whereas the CDB oil is made from the actual flower and leaves of the plant.
The processing is different for extracting each oil, and so are the uses. They each have health benefits and come with warnings as well. Never use any supplement without researching and talking with your physician.
Hemp seed oil never contains CBD or THC as the cannabinoids do not reside in the seed, only the flower contains the cannabinoids.
The CBD oil does not contain high enough of the THC cannabinoid to cause alarm. Some companies are making it with absolutely no THC. You just have to read your labels and research the company you purchase from, if this is a concern you have.
How Hemp Seed Oil Is Made

Hemp seed oil is made with cold compression. Before the seeds are ever compress they are washed extensively to remove any leaf matter, dirt, or other contaminants.
Then they do the pressing process, which is stretching the seeds and twisting like and twisting them like a cork screw action until all the oils come out.
During this process they don’t let the temperature get above 40 degrees. By the time fills into the first filter tank it has cooled more. In the end it is cooled to below 20 degrees and stored in an oxygen free environment. And that’s it, you have hemp seed oil.
This oil is rich in healthy plant fats and has a deep nutty flavor. If the press is cleaned and sterilized after each use the oil can also be considered virgin oil.

The Uses For Hemp Seed Oil
The uses for hemp seed oil are amazing! You can make some wonderful salad dressings and meal toppers with it. Body soaps, lotions, shampoos & conditioners, skin oils, and hair oils are all being made with this product. That’s not even close to be the end of the list.
Hemp seed oil can also be used to make paints, beauty products of all kinds, bio-fuel, and much more. The plant this oil derives from is just simply amazing with all that can be done with it.
The only things this oil should not be used for is frying or cooking above 160 degrees, stopping diarrhea, or raising blood pressure it will not be effective or helpful in these cases.
This oil contains a high amount of healthy plant fat that is very good for us, but we are not used to and it can give you tummy issues if you consume large amounts or on a regular basis. Everything comes with a warning label, hemp seed oil is not different.

How CDB Oil Is Made
CBD oil has a totally different type of extraction process. All the leaves and flowers are used in the making of this oil.
First they are soaked in a grain alcohol then strained a bunch, and you are left with a slurry of cannabinoids and grain alcohol. Then ethanol is used to extract the oil, I am not real sure how this process is achieved.
At the end of the extraction the CBD oil can then be combined with any other oil that you would like it in pretty much, although hemp oil, olive oil, and butter are the main ones used.

The Uses For CBD Oil
The uses for CBD are pretty much medical, although there are no scientific claims that are backing up the popular opinion as yet, they are researching every day.
Popular opinion says that some use it for arthritis pain and other chronic pain, anxiety may be able to be relieved with its use. CBD oil has been in the news as a possible treatment option for epilepsy as well. Just remember to talk to your doctor before you take any herb or supplement.
Research is being done on possible effects on Alzheimer’s disease, MS (multiple sclerosis), Parkinson’s disease, and strokes. This product has not yet been approved for cancer treatment, but researchers a working very hard on results.
Anti-acne is also on the list for researching as CBD may also reduce overall inflammation in your body which could help acne in the long run.
This oil you can cook with up to 356 degrees Fahrenheit, it can be infused with hemp seed oil, olive and vegetable oils. You can bake with it, add it to milkshakes you can add it to just about anything you don’t mind the flavor in.
There are some side effects that are listed with CBD they include: dizziness, depression, low blood pressure, hallucinations, and withdrawal symptoms such as irritability and insomnia. Some people say they don’t notice any side effects, but then there are the few that it just really does not agree with.

It’s Really All About What You’re Looking For
When it comes to which oil is best for you it’s really a matter of personal needs. It’s a choice for you to make after you have done your research, spoke with your physician, and came to your own educated decision.
If you are looking to flavor up some foods and have healthy skin and hair, you should shop for hemp seed oil and products that are made with it. And if you want to feel like you have helped the plant and environment you can because hemp is a green product and most items that contain it, are also organic or all natural.

If you are looking for some health benefits you should try the CBD oil after you have talked with your doctor and made and informed decision. It could be the best thing you have tried since ginger root for health benefits.
Don’t just jump on the CBD band wagon because others are. At the end of the day, do what is right for you that is what counts the most.
